If the world today was to be given another
name, it would be just appropriate to call it “accessible”. What do we not have
on our computer screen in one click today? Information and the technology
associated, together has reduced the entire globe to one click. The sole
significant obstacle in the journey towards cent percent digitalization, today,
is knowledge. Knowledge to operate prevalent technology. With immense pride, it
can be stated that we have begun to overcome this path break also, remarkably.
Remote areas or even villages have phone signals and in turn phones have up to
4G speed internet even in hollow spaces. Not only are these facilities
available, but are also being put to personal and professional work. It’s not
surprising to know about groups in villages and small towns utilizing digital
aid to boost their businesses (across all scales).
Where is the loophole then? In the fast
paced goal oriented lives lead almost everywhere today, we, as human resources
have become mechanical in various aspects. Unhappy employees outnumber the
happy ones by two to one. There is an evident deviation from the ideal when it
comes to cultural or moral values. Why is the trend so? What goes wrong inside
those glamorous skyscrapers? Let’s start from the root of the flaw, to reach a
conclusion.Education and Learning are two words with a seemingly similar meaning, both glorified usually as the “pursuit of knowledge”. Normally speaking the attempt at education is gaining the requisites for employment. Is employment the only result of education? Is the concept as narrow as that? No. The study grows broader than just that. A study differentiates the two, very accurately as follows. Formal education, is to gain knowledge in a specific field to pass a certain assessment, post which one can expect an acknowledgement such as a degree, admission etc. We mug up, apply the knowledge and get paid for it. This cycle repeats itself infinitely to support our livelihood. If education is a ladder, learning is a bottomless well. Learning is a sort of abstraction of our curiosity. Here, we don’t learn something to be applauded for it. Learning craves no attention, no recognition. Sadly enough, most of the human resource tank today is trapped in the lure of education. Something that pays back, brings returns.
Flaws in the education process or lack of the right knowledge leave imprints that reflect at the time of its implementation. In other words, if education doesn’t form the right foundation, execution of the knowledge professionally is seriously flawed. Take for example, agriculture. India is known to be an agro-economic nation. 70% of the Indian population is indulged in the varied aspects of the primary sector, yet farmers are the poorest lot. Suicides, debt pressure, low standards of living, existence below the poverty level, are extremely common instances that point directly towards the adversity of the situation. This is not to deny that there aren’t reforms or that the government or agencies working in the field of agriculture are not working on the inadequacies. However, implementation is also given a major setback by the ecological misbalance created by overpopulation. Isaac Asimov said “Democracy cannot survive overpopulation. Human dignity cannot survive it. As you put more and more people into the world, the value of life not only declines, it disappears.”
At this note, as some of the problems
faced by the economy today are brought ahead, let’s also highlight where Raga
Future fits to join this disjointed picture. Various NGOs, CSR projects of
large companies and some government policies, have attempted to solve various
problems but an effective cumulative reaction is lacked. Raga Future is a
social entrepreneurship venture (registered as a pvt. ltd. company) with the
idea of: More money bringing out more power that can bring large scale changes
at a fast pace.
Started by Animesh, with a vision to reform existing system and bring out a positive change in the society, Raga Future is the Raag(Melody) that aims to tune people towards the right direction. A direction where the aim is to work on educational reforms and environmental protection, so that our future generation can breathe clean air, live in a healthy environment and develop a sharp India. Raga Future aims to create a work culture where human resource is not exploited. Here, the unrecognized potential of a talent reservoir is tapped to extract the best that a resource can deliver!
Raga Future plans to achieve these goals
through the following projects:
- Graphic T-Shirts – There are four segments of Raga Future Creations(RFC)- Musical, spiritual, positive quotes and nature. These would bring a positive outlook in life.
- Institutes- Educational institutes for quality education even in remote areas making best use of online tutorials.
- Publications- To publish magazines and books for the children and youth focusing on creativity, cultural and awareness insights.
- Buildings- To develop green buildings and to convert the existing building green.
- Agriculture- Organic farming and developing green areas.
- Information Technology - To develop and manage an App for education, awareness and career options.
- IT Security- To work towards awareness on cyber security, consulting, and build cyber defense solutions.
- Music- To produce inspirational music of genre 'Raga Rock'.
- Entertainment- Produce quality movies on Indian mythology, history, and other inspirational stories.
Raga Future has achieved significant
milestones in the Graphic T-shirts and IT Security projects. A top Israeli
Security Company has collaborated with Raga Future and together, they aim to
bring remarkable breakthroughs in their direction of work.
To conclude, let’s bring out that change
is the only constant. Reluctance to change is like a pause to enhancement. Only
when we change, do we grow and become capable of discovering a world we never
knew of. We’re proud to be born to a country that is composed of promising
potential, talent and a hardworking ecosystem to work. The only catalyst missing
is the right direction. This is the time to rise above the ignorant society and
set new social standards. It is the time to be a torch bearer, and shed some
light to the darkness inside and in the outer world.
The best way to have a better future is to
build a better future.
